Ku-Ring-Gai
All Breeds Club Show 2004
Sunday,
23rd May 2004
There were 15 Scotties entered
under Professor B. Corbitt (Vic).
We all arrived bright and early on what was a beautiful day and
we were very lucky to get our favourite position on the hill
where we could spread out in the sunshine and were not far from
the ring so we could keep an eye on proceedings.
The judging proceeded and finally the dog Challenge was in the
ring and the judge wanted to see the dogs fire so he faced them
to each other in a circle but the dogs were very good they stood
alert and just looked at each other but never uttered a sound or
lose control.
The girls came in and did their bit but they were not as calm as
the boys they fired on all fours and sometimes just three paws
and they meant business the judge loved this and finally awarded
Challenge Bitch to Dhubawtie Barley Bree and then she got Best
of Breed.
Finally it was time for the Group Judging and Christine all
nervous took Bree down to the ring Bree was OK. She was fighting
fit. In they went and after what seemed like forever the judge
said “I will have the Scottie” and then Leanne had to take in
the runner up which was the little bitch Fame n Fortune who was
still fighting fit and the judge walked her round and said “I
will have the Scottie for runner up in group”. What a wonderful
day for our breed and great that it was a point score show.
